If you can’t count yourself as one of the many
fortunate Members who attended the recent Charleston Convention, you
missed a great experience.
Charleston went all out to give our Members and
their families’ fond memories of true Southern ho
spitality
and ‘Low Country’ charm. The magic of the Marketplace, the romantic
dinner cruise, and the tour of historic Charleston gave everyone who
attended an opportunity to enrich their life experience.
On the business side, Allen Phillips gave an
insightful and riveting (can you imagine anything in accounting
being described as ‘riveting’?) CPE presentation.
As we work toward the end of this year and into
2007, I look forward with great anticipation, meeting each and every
Alabama Association of Accountants’ Member. Your ideas and concerns
are the cornerstone of my presidency and I assure you, I am
committed to making this next year a landmark for building
membership and making meaningful advances in our Association and our
profession.
I thank you all for offering me this opportunity
and I am excited about the prospect of making new friends and
advancing my own education and experience from this position.
